Lead Teacher

!!Looking for a Teacher with a shift start time of 7am or a shift end time of 6pm Mondays-Fridays!!

The Lead Teacher will manage the classroom, create age-appropriate curriculum, conduct assessments and interact with families to provide a safe, supportive and challenging educational environment for children.

• Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule per the Kids Corner curriculum and programming.
• Plans with a member of the Leadership Team the parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
• Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children’s behavior.
• Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
• Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Kids Corner Handbook.
• Assisting in other capacities that the Director, or designee, determines is necessary.

Qualifications

-Minimum CDA, Associate Degree in early childhood or related field, or two years previous experience in a childcare setting.

-Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field (preferred).
-At least two years of experience teaching in a childcare setting.
-Strong knowledge of child development, early education curriculum and child assessment.
-The desire to continually learn new skills and techniques and to remain current in the field.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively as a team member and to establish positive relationships with families.
-Must be able to provide the following clearances and information prior to starting if hired: PA State Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA FBI Fingerprinting Clearance, NSOR Verification Results, Mandated Reporter Training, Staff Health Assessment & TB Test Results, 2 non-family reference letters, GED/High School Diploma/Relevant College Transcripts, Clearances for each state if lived out of PA within the last 5 years.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
