Lead Teacher

Bren Bren’s Daycare Center LLC is a new, faith-based childcare center dedicated to providing a safe, loving, nurturing, and educational environment for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.

We are excited to offer 24-hour childcare services to support working families in our community. Our mission is to help children grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically while ensuring every child feels loved, valued, and supported.

We are seeking dependable, compassionate, energetic, and experienced Lead Teachers to join our growing team!

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Weekend and holiday availability is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Create a safe, loving, and positive classroom environment.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans.
• Incorporate faith-based values, kindness, prayer, and positive character development into daily activities.
• Supervise children and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
• Assist with feeding, diaper changes, potty training, and personal hygiene.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child’s development and daily activities.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and daily reports.
• Follow all Michigan childcare licensing rules and center policies.
• Support children with different learning abilities and developmental needs.
• Work collaboratively with the director and other staff members.

Additional 3rd Shift Responsibilities:

• Maintain a peaceful, comfortable, and safe sleeping environment.
• Supervise children throughout the night.
• Conduct and document required sleep and safety checks.
• Assist children who wake during the night.
• Prepare children for their morning routines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must meet Michigan’s licensing qualifications for a Lead Childcare Teacher.
• CDA, associate degree, or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Previous childcare experience strongly preferred.
• Must successfully complete required background checks.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of child development and positive behavior guidance.
• Must be reliable, patient, compassionate, and professional.
• Must be comfortable working in a faith-based environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
