Lead Child Care Teacher — Full-Time
Mini Miracles Learning Centers | Virginia Beach

Mini Miracles Learning Centers is hiring dependable, caring and experienced Lead Teachers for our Virginia Beach location. We’re looking for educators who can lead a classroom, create engaging learning experiences and build positive relationships with children, families and coworkers.

CURRENT OPENINGS

Virginia Beach — Mini Miracles Learning Center

• Toddler Lead Teacher
• Schedule: 8:30 a.m.–5::30pm

Virginia Beach-Mini Miracles Learning Center

• Infant Lead Teacher

• Schedule: 7:30a.m. - 4:30p.m.

These are full-time positions. Applicants must be available for the listed schedule and flexible when classroom coverage needs change. We are seeking candidates available to begin as soon as required screening and onboarding permit.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Plan and lead age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing and organized classroom.
• Follow the daily schedule while responding to children’s individual needs.
• Guide classroom teachers and assistants and clearly communicate responsibilities.
• Use positive guidance to support children’s social and emotional development.
• Communicate children’s progress, successes and concerns to families and the Director.
• Follow center policies and applicable licensing, supervision, health and safety requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of supervised experience in a licensed child care center.
• Meet Virginia’s program leader qualification requirements. Applicants qualifying through the experience-based pathway must also complete the required 24 hours of child-care-related training within the applicable timeframe.
• Strong classroom management, communication and organizational skills.
• A dependable, professional and collaborative approach to work.
• Early childhood education coursework is strongly preferred.

TRAINING & ONBOARDING

• Complete required Virginia Preservice, health and safety, and center orientation training. We will provide the applicable course links.
• CPR and first-aid certification is required by Mini Miracles within 30 days of starting. Classroom assignments must also meet required certified-staff coverage.
• Medication Administration Training will be scheduled for qualified teachers as needed for their responsibilities.
• Meet applicable Virginia child care background-check requirements and submit requested onboarding documents promptly.

Start dates are based on completion of applicable screening and onboarding requirements.
