Lead Teacher - Twos

Kiddie Academy of Bloomingdale is seeking a dedicated Lead Two-Year-Old Teacher to join our team! This role is ideal for an energetic, nurturing individual who is passionate about early childhood education and helping little learners develop social, emotional, and foundational academic skills.

As a Lead Teacher, you will create a structured yet playful classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Responsibilities:

• Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to two-year-olds
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment
• Guide and supervise children during structured and free play activities
• Support potty training and reinforce self-help skills
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
• Communicate daily with families regarding their child’s progress and milestones
• Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and center policies
• Work collaboratively with assistant teachers and support staff

Qualifications:

• CDA (Child Development Associate) Preferred
• DCF 45 Hours Completed
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a childcare setting
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to balance structure and flexibility
• Patience, creativity, and passion for working with young children
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
