About the Job
Synamedia is seeking an experienced Lead Technical Project Manager to join our Customer Delivery organisation and lead the successful delivery of complex, customer-facing technology projects and programmes.
As part of a wider global team of Project Managers, the role will serve as the primary delivery lead for assigned customer engagements. The Lead Technical Project Manager will work closely with customers, engineering, product management, solution architecture, operations, account teams and third-party partners to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
The successful candidate will combine strong project management capability with a sound understanding of software and video technology solutions. They will bring excellent customer-facing and stakeholder management skills and will be accountable for delivering projects on time, within scope and budget, and in line with agreed customer and quality expectations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of customer projects involving OTT, streaming, video, cloud and digital media technology solutions.
- Serve as the primary customer-facing delivery lead throughout project planning, execution, deployment, acceptance and transition.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, resource requirements, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies and change requests.
- Coordinate global, cross-functional teams across engineering, product management, solution architecture, operations and third-party partners.

- Manage changes to project scope and ensure that the delivery and commercial implications are clearly assessed, communicated and agreed.
- Partner with Account Management and Customer Success teams to support customer objectives, delivery assurance and long-term relationship development.
- Support continuous improvement, project management standards and delivery best practice across the Customer Delivery organisation.
- Manage multiple customer engagements effectively within a fast-paced, global and matrixed environment.
Skills Required
- Proven experience leading customer-facing delivery projects, with strong ownership of customer outcomes and the ability to manage expectations, commitments and communications throughout the delivery lifecycle. Candidates should have direct customer delivery experience rather than predominantly engineering project management experience.
- Proven experience managing complex, customer-facing technology projects or programmes from initiation through to implementation and acceptance.
- Strong project management experience within software, telecommunications, SaaS, cloud, media, OTT, streaming or a related technology sector.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time, within scope and budget, and in line with customer expectations.
- Experience working with global, distributed engineering, product and delivery teams.
- Strong customer engagement and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Experience managing project budgets, scope, schedules, resources, risks, issues, dependencies and change control.
- Strong understanding of project governance, delivery planning, reporting and escalation management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent customer engagements and competing priorities.
- Ability to work effectively across geographical regions and time zones.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Preferred Experience
- Experience within OTT, streaming, video, broadcast, pay-TV, media or telecommunications.
- Experience delivering customer implementations, integrations, migrations or digital transformation programmes.
- Technical understanding of software platforms, cloud-based solutions, systems integration and customer deployment environments.
- Experience working with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum or an equivalent project management certification.
- Experience managing third-party suppliers, partners or systems integrators.
- Experience supporting commercial discussions, change requests and delivery-related customer negotiations.
