Reports To: Crew Chief and Shop Manager

Overall Responsibility Responsible for the overall preparation and maintenance of the race team. Should provide quality control of crew member’s preparation of vehicles and equipment as well as a constant barometer of team needs, spares parts, equipment, etc.

Physical Requirements Standing, bending, heavy lifting, crawling under car, pushing vehicles, carrying and loading equipment.

Key Job Duties

• Must exhibit a mastery of assembly/ disassembly techniques and strong ability with mechanic’s hand tools.
• Oversee repairs, modifications, and improvements to race cars needed between events
• Work closely on development, fabrication, and parts testing as prescribed by team engineers, series rule changes, or other given racing needs.
• Inventory and Maintain Complete Spares list
• Submit proper electronic order sheet for replacement parts/ spare post event
• Assembly and prep of spares and new parts
• Aggressive hands-on work combined with direction and leadership of other

crew members during incidents at the race track (motor swaps, crash repair,

etc.)

• Accounting of all parts and supplies used from the trailer in a given race

event.

• Travel for test, race, and promoter events required

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
