Lead Toddler Teacher

MOOKS Childcare Center is seeking a nurturing, dependable, energetic, and organized Lead Toddler Teacher to join our Village!

Our Lead Toddler Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, loving, structured, and engaging classroom environment while supporting each child's individual development. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their classroom, demonstrates initiative, works well as part of a team, and understands the unique needs of toddlers.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the daily operation and routine of the toddler classroom.
• Provide active supervision and maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
• Plan and implement fun, developmentally appropriate learning experiences and curriculum.
• Support children's language, cognitive, physical, social-emotional, and self-help development.
• Use positive guidance techniques to help toddlers learn appropriate ways to communicate and manage emotions.
• Complete observations and required developmental documentation.
• Maintain accurate daily records and communicate children's meals, naps, diapering/toileting, activities, and other important information to families.
• Build positive and professional relationships with children and families.
• Maintain an organized, clean, welcoming, and engaging classroom.
• Guide and work collaboratively with assistant teachers, floaters, and other classroom support staff.
• Communicate classroom needs or concerns with administration.
• Attend required staff meetings, trainings, professional development, and center events.
• Follow MOOKS Childcare Center policies, Pennsylvania childcare regulations, health and safety requirements, and Keystone STARS quality standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA, Associate Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Previous childcare or early childhood classroom experience required.
• Toddler and/or Lead Teacher experience strongly preferred.
• Must meet Pennsylvania requirements for the assigned childcare position.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required childcare clearances, health documentation, and required training.
• Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to communicate effectively with families and coworkers.
• Must demonstrate patience, initiative, teamwork, and a genuine passion for working with young children.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.20 per hour

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Required)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Required)

Shift availability:

• Munhall, PA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
