Lead UX Designer

Optomi, in partnership with a financial services organization that's investing heavily in the future of its digital products and is looking to add a Lead UX Designer to the team.

This is an opportunity to help modernize a highly visible, business-critical platform that has been foundational to the organization for years. Rather than simply maintaining an existing product, you'll play a key role in reimagining the user experience by creating intuitive, modern, and scalable solutions for a complex enterprise application.

What You'll Do

• Lead the end-to-end UX design process from discovery and research through wireframing, prototyping, testing, and final delivery.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and business stakeholders to shape product strategy and influence the future direction of the platform.
• Simplify complex workflows and information architecture into intuitive, user-centered experiences.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to identify opportunities and validate design decisions.
• Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Contribute to and leverage the organization's design system to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
• Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives to deliver thoughtful, impactful design solutions.
• Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle while collaborating across cross-functional teams.

What They're Looking For

• 5+ years of UX or Product Design experience designing complex digital products.
• Experience owning the full design lifecycle—from discovery and research through delivery.
• Strong experience designing enterprise, B2B, SaaS, or other complex digital applications.
• Proven ability to simplify complicated workflows and improve usability.
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong UX thinking, problem-solving, and measurable business impact.
• Experience partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing and translating insights into actionable design decisions.
• Experience working within or contributing to a design system is highly preferred.

• Experience modernizing or redesigning legacy platforms.
• Experience working in financial services, fintech, insurance, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience designing data-rich or workflow-intensive applications.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design best practices.
