This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys clinical practice but is also passionate about mentoring others, developing a positive team culture and contributing to the ongoing success of a veterinary clinic.

If you have the experience, vision and passion to help take SuperVets Hendra to the next level, we would love to meet you!

Located in the vibrant suburb of Hendra, our spacious, modern veterinary clinic offers purpose-built facilities designed to support quality patient care.

With an established client base and the backing of the wider VetPartners network, you will have the opportunity to lead with confidence, introduce fresh ideas and continue developing a successful practice.

We are looking for someone who values teamwork, clinical excellence and creating an environment where both staff and clients feel welcome.

Why You Will Love This Opportunity

  • Clinical Leadership & Autonomy – Take an active role in guiding the clinic's clinical direction and supporting your team.
  • Competitive Salary – An attractive remuneration package that recognises your experience and leadership responsibilities.

  • Work-Life Balance – Flexible working arrangements to support your commitments outside work.
  • Professional Development – Access to our Veterinary Training Centre, a $2,000 CPD allowance and dedicated study leave.
  • Leadership Development – Opportunities to further develop your management and mentoring skills.
  • VetPartners Support – Access to a wider network of veterinary professionals, resources and clinical support.
  • Employee Benefits – Staff discounts, wellbeing initiatives and additional perks.
  • Relocation Assistance – Support may be available for candidates relocating to Brisbane.
  • Visa Sponsorship – Available for eligible overseas veterinarians, subject to a full-time commitment of 38 hours per week.

The Role

As our Lead Veterinarian, you will balance hands-on clinical work with supporting the team and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing quality veterinary care across consultations, medicine and surgery.
  • Mentoring and supporting the development of veterinary and nursing colleagues.
  • Promoting a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
  • Maintaining clinical standards, protocols and best practices.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and the local community.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and success of the clinic.

This is your opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with your leadership ambitions and make a lasting difference.

Ideally, you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in small animal practice.
  • A BVSc or equivalent qualification, with eligibility for veterinary registration in Queensland.
  • Confidence in small animal medicine, surgery and preventative healthcare.
  • The ability to manage your own caseload and make independent clinical decisions.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring colleagues.
  • A proactive, approachable and collaborative leadership style.
