Lead Website Designer

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and execute visually compelling designs that align with brand identity and strategic business goals.
• Own and drive the overall visual design strategy, ensuring alignment with the company s brand identity, business objectives, and growth priorities.
• Develop creative assets, including web, digital, and marketing materials, while ensuring a high standard of visual storytelling.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into innovative design solutions.
• Stay ahead of emerging design, digital, and AI trends and identify opportunities to bring new approaches, tools, and creative techniques into the organisation.
• Maintain brand consistency across all platforms by developing and enforcing design guidelines.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering skill development and creative excellence.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising effectively to meet deadlines and business objectives.
• Conduct design reviews, offering feedback and improvements to ensure the highest quality standards.
• Leverage AI-powered design and creative tools, including Claude, ChatGPT, and other generative AI platforms, to accelerate ideation, prototyping, content creation, and design workflows while maintaining human-led creative quality and brand consistency.

Requirements Skills:

• Bachelor s degree (or equivalent) in fine art, graphic design, or similar discipline.
• 6-10 years of experience in website design and copywriting. Experience with a media agency is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good understanding of typography (fonts), illustration, iconography, layout and colour theory.
• Proficiency in design tools such as the Adobe family, Figma, and Claude Design.
• Ability to consider content, navigation, structure, and user experience issues to create aesthetic but usable designs on the underlying platform.
• Hands-on experience integrating generative AI design and content workflows into daily design production.
• Good graphic design skills for creating logos, posters, backgrounds and other necessary creatives.
