Lead Worker

Summary: Perform supervisory and routine custodial activities to maintain buildings & grounds.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, oversee, and participate in custodial activities.
• Train and provide work direction to assigned employees, assigning and reviewing their work.
• Plans and implements appropriate responses to emergencies.
• Perform routine custodial activities, including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors, vacuuming carpets, spot cleaning, and maintaining the cafeteria. The supervisor and Manager may assign other duties.
• Report safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to the Custodial Supervisor or other appropriate authority.
• Order custodial supplies by established guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain regular attendance of all custodians
• Respond to emergency cleanups such as spills; maintain records of observed maintenance, repair needs, and safety issues
• Operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor strippers, buffers, polishers, carpet shampooers, scrubbers, high-pressure sprayers, manual and power sweepers, and power blowers, as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.
