What they need

Help shape the next generation of leaders across Aotearoa

Our client is looking for an experienced leadership development professional to play a key role in growing and delivering impactful leadership solutions across New Zealand.
This position sits at the intersection of leadership, workforce transformation, organisational development, and client advisory. You'll work closely with executives, clinical leaders, and senior stakeholders to design and deliver programmes that strengthen leadership capability, support organisational change, and create sustainable outcomes.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building trusted relationships, facilitating meaningful development experiences, and identifying opportunities to expand leadership capability across a range of sectors.

The Opportunity

Working within a highly respected consulting practice, you'll be responsible for both the growth and delivery of leadership development initiatives across New Zealand.
You'll partner with senior leaders to understand their challenges, design practical solutions, and deliver programmes that enable leaders to succeed in increasingly complex environments.
Combining strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, you'll help clients build leadership capability while contributing to wider workforce and organisational transformation programmes.

What You'll Be Doing

Grow Leadership Development Opportunities

  • Identify and develop opportunities to expand leadership programmes across public and private sector organisations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive sponsors, workforce leaders, and organisational development teams.
  • Contribute to business development activities, proposals, and client engagement strategies.
  • Develop a sustainable pipeline of leadership programmes, partnerships, and advisory work.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across transformation, workforce, and culture practices to create integrated client solutions.

Build Trusted Relationships

  • Establish strong partnerships with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on leadership effectiveness, capability development, and organisational change.
  • Work closely with healthcare leaders, clinicians, and workforce professionals where relevant.
  • Represent the practice at industry events, leadership forums, and networking opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client priorities and emerging workforce challenges.

Design and Deliver Leadership Programmes

  • Create and facilitate engaging leadership development programmes, workshops, and learning experiences.
  • Translate organisational challenges into practical leadership solutions.
  • Support leaders navigating change, complexity, and transformation.
  • Tailor programmes to align with organisational strategy, workforce priorities, and operational realities.
  • Incorporate emerging leadership themes, including AI, digital transformation, and the future of work.

Drive Meaningful Impact

  • Evaluate programme effectiveness and communicate outcomes to clients.
  • Develop thought leadership, case studies, and client success stories.
  • Support strategic partnerships with sector organisations, professional bodies, and tertiary institutions.
  • Contribute to proposals, pricing discussions, and commercial planning.
  • Ensure all partnerships align with Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations and equity principles.

About You

You'll be an experienced leadership, workforce, organisational development, or consulting professional who thrives in client-facing environments and enjoys helping organisations unlock leadership potential.

We're interested in people who bring:

  • Significant experience in leadership development, organisational development, workforce transformation, consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong networks and credibility with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Experience designing, facilitating, and evaluating leadership programmes.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to identify and develop new opportunities.
  • Confidence engaging and influencing stakeholders at executive level.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Curiosity around emerging leadership trends, including AI, digital leadership, and evolving workforce needs.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, leadership, organisational development, human resources, psychology, health, or a related discipline.

Why Join?

This role offers the opportunity to influence leadership capability across some of New Zealand's most important organisations while working alongside experts in workforce and organisational transformation.

You'll have the chance to:

  • Work directly with senior leaders and decision-makers.
  • Design and deliver programmes that create lasting impact.
  • Contribute to meaningful transformation initiatives across multiple sectors.
  • Build your profile as a trusted leadership advisor.
  • Enjoy variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape the future direction of a growing leadership practice.

If you're passionate about helping leaders thrive and creating positive organisational change, we'd love to hear from you.
