About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong experience in slipform kerbing, concrete works and kerb machine operation, who can confidently lead a small team and ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Operate slipform kerb machinery and related equipment
• Lead and coordinate a small kerbing crew on site
• Set up and prepare work areas for kerbing operations
• Complete kerbing and concrete works to project specifications
• Monitor quality, levels and finishing of completed kerb work
• Read and follow plans, measurements and site requirements
• Carry out basic machinery checks and maintenance
• Ensure site health and safety requirements are followed
• Communicate with supervisors and the wider site team
• Assist with general civil duties when required

About you

• Proven experience in slipform kerbing and kerb machine operation
• Previous experience leading or supervising a civil crew
• Strong knowledge of civil construction and concrete works
• Confident operating machinery in a busy site environment
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Reliable, practical and willing to work hands-on
• Class 1 licence preferred
• Class 2 licence or relevant machinery tickets are an advantage
