About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced motivated Leading Hand - Operations for a full-time opportunity based at our Coburn site near Shark Bay WA. You will be required to support the functions and role of the Supervisor - Operations, ensuring mining and earthworks activity is carried out to Company standards.

About You

• Minimum of 2yrs proven experience in earthmoving equipment and maintenance procedures
• Section 26 Statutory Supervisor Cert
• Proven experience in the supervision and management of personnel
• Continuous improvement and change management techniques
• Excellent ethical and professional standards
• Display a clear commitment and focus on the health, safety and well-being of all employees
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence
• Willingness to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug / Alcohol Screen
• Full Australian working rights

Responsibilities

• Constant checks of mining units, pit floor and face, utilisation and safety of equipment
• Report any machinery damage, personal injuries sustained by employees or health conditions/fitness for work issues
• Complete all required clerical work when required such as, daily handover sheet, workplace inspection form, any permits required
• Supervise and enforce company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Identify and report all hazards, incidents and associated risks immediately to the Supervisor
• Promote and adhere to all Piacentini and Son Policies, Standards and Procedures
