About Us

Three Rivers Youth Baseball & Softball (TRYBS), based in Grants Pass, proudly serves all of Josephine County and Rogue River, providing local youth with a safe, fun, and competitive baseball and softball experience. As a community-based, volunteer-led nonprofit, TRYBS is dedicated to fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and character development through the game.

To support our growing programs, TRYBS is hiring a League Operations Manager, a pivotal position designed to enhance organization, communication, and consistency across all league operations.

Position Overview

The League Operations Manager serves as the primary point of contact for parents and coaches, overseeing the daily coordination and execution of league operations. This individual works closely with the President, Vice President, and Board of Directors to ensure that each season runs smoothly from registration to All-Stars.

This is a seasonal, salaried contract position running January through June, with variable hours that become full-time during the active season (March–June). The role includes both remote administrative work and on-site presence at local sports facilities. Evening and Saturday availability during the season is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify player ages following registration and manage the player waitlist.
• Assist the Player Agent with skills assessments, team formation, and drafts.
• Support the recruitment and onboarding of coaches.
• Enter team data into SportsEngine and distribute rosters.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, coaches, and community inquiries.
• Manage the league’s main email account, website, and Facebook page.
• Communicate league updates, schedules, and announcements.
• Assist with uniform orders and ensure timely and accurate distribution.
• Support the Sponsorship Coordinator in securing and fulfilling sponsor commitments.
• Help organize and coordinate fundraising events and league-wide initiatives.
• Coordinate volunteer schedules for concessions and ensure coverage during games and tournaments.
• Oversee field maintenance coordination and assist with equipment management.
• Support the All-Star selection process and related administrative tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the President or Vice President.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Friendly and professional demeanor with strong customer service orientation.
• Experience coordinating volunteers or managing youth/community programs preferred.
• Proficient with Google Workspace, SportsEngine, and social media platforms.
• Knowledge of youth sports operations or nonprofit administration is a plus.
• Must reside within league boundaries, all of Josephine County and Rogue River
• Must be available evenings and Saturdays during the active season.
• Ability to work both remotely and on-site at local baseball/softball facilities.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while following direction from leadership.
