Lean and Operation Excellences Engineer

Responsibilities :

• Lean Implementation & Project Management
  - Plan, lead, and implement Lean projects across APAC production sites.
  • Support and collaborate with local plant teams in execution of Lean initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of production processes.
• Training & Coaching
  • Develop and deliver training programs on Lean, Kaizen, and Operational Excellence principles.
  • Coach managers and employees in Lean methodologies and problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Why, PDCA, 3A).
  • Introduce and support digital Shopfloor and operational tools.
• Workshops & Continuous Improvement
  • Organize and facilitate Kaizen workshops and optimization projects.
  • Promote and support the implementation of 5S, TPM, and visual management systems.
  • Collaborate closely with international department heads to identify and implement improvements.
• Lean System Development & Digitalization  
  • Further develop Ziehl-Abegg’s Lean Management System to achieve process and leadership excellence.  
  • Support the digitalization of Lean methods, tools, and shopfloor processes.
• Analysis & Performance Management  
  • Conduct value stream analyses (VSM) and maturity assessments across plants.  
  • Define and implement improvement roadmaps based on Lean maturity levels.  
  • Track and analyze plant performance using defined KPIs.
• Process Standardization  
  • Plan, calculate, implement, and document new processes and production standards.  
  • Ensure sustainability of improvements through structured documentation and follow-up.

Qualification :

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Lean Management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in an international setting for at least 5 years.
• Knowledge and Experience in Lean and Operation Excellence
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturingprinciples and related methodologies, such as:
  • 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
  • Kaizen (Continuous Improvement)
  • Value Stream Mapping (VSM) (Analysis of value-added processes)
  • Kanban or Just-In-Time (JIT) systems
  • Proven experience in Process Improvement Projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is an advantage).
• Engineering Knowledge  
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant fields, such as:
    **- Industrial Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering**
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and quality control processes in industries, particularly:
  • Production systems employed at Ziehl-Abegg, such as motor manufacturing, fans, or ventilation systems.
  • Designing production processes and resource management strategies.
• Analytical Skills and Technical Tools Proficiency  
  • Strong ability to analyze data and solve complex problems.
  • Proficiency in using analytical tools and software, such as:
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Minitab, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Production planning software (ERP systems like SAP or Oracle)
  • Expertise in problem-solving tools, such as:
  • Root Cause Analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram)
  • Pareto Analysis
• Knowledge of Ziehl-Abegg’s Industry  
  • Understanding of Ziehl-Abegg’s products, including:
  • Ventilation fans, HVAC solutions (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning)
  • Electric motors and related technologies Familiarity with industry standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other quality and environmental standards.
• Project Management Skills  
  • Proven ability to manage process improvement projects efficiently.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change and manage transformation initiatives.
• Language and Communication Skills  
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, as Ziehl-Abegg operates in an international context.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey ideas, analysis results, and project plans to teams and executives.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 Technologies  
  • Familiarity with technologies related to Industry 4.0, including:
  • Internet of Things (IoT) for connecting devices in production lines
  • Automation and Smart Manufacturingsystems
  • Application of AIor Machine Learning to optimize processes
