What they need

Own the value stream. Advance American manufacturing.

At Re:Build, we’re revitalizing the nation’s industrial base by helping innovators take products from concept to scaled production across aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy and environment, and robotics and automation. Our culture is anchored in continuous improvement and The Re:Build Way—principles that guide how we collaborate and lead (The Re:Build Way principles).

Your impact at Oribi’s Industrial & Specialty Products operation

In this senior operations role, you’ll be accountable for end-to-end results across a high-mix, lower-volume machining value stream—safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will synchronize production, engineering, quality, and supply chain; reduce changeover time; and relentlessly remove waste while meeting evolving customer needs.

How you’ll lead

Set and deliver the strategy to operate and grow the value stream while managing daily production, maintenance, quality, and logistics. Establish a zero-incident environment and ensure OSHA, FDA, and environmental compliance. Build an accountable team—recruit, hire, mentor, and elevate talent across production, quality, supply chain, and engineering. Deploy Lean tools (Value Stream Analysis, Rapid Improvement Events, SMED, 5S) to optimize flow and eliminate non-value-added work. Improve OEE, productivity, scrap, and labor efficiency through Basic Problem Solving and Root Cause/Countermeasure. Own the budget and P&L; drive cost reduction and manage labor, overhead, and operating expenses to target. Oversee production scheduling and material forecasts to balance availability, inventory, and reliable on-time delivery. Work hand-in-hand with Sourcing/Supply Chain, Technical, Quality, and Commercial teams to align processes with customer and market requirements. Enhance established processes, automation approaches, and quality systems to maximize yield and cost effectiveness. Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging machining technologies to sharpen our competitive position.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • BS or MS in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of machine shop management; composites experience is a plus.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership capacity in a sophisticated manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated success in high-mix, low-volume production and/or managing diverse product portfolios preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of machining manufacturing.
  • Established background in Lean production.
  • Strong leadership, team development, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001.
