What they need
- Identify, observe, and analyze value stream waste and drive the application of Lean principles and methodologies to eliminate non value added activities.
- Support the deployment, coaching and continuous learning of Lean concepts and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Establish work measurement programs and conduct work sampling studies to develop labor utilization standards and improve productivity.
- Partner with management to identify improvement opportunities, recommend solutions, and support the implementation of Lean initiatives.
- Educate, train, and coach employees on Lean principles, tools, and methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work and Continuous Improvement practices.
- Facilitate and guide Lean project teams to achieve project objectives, deliver sustainable results and meet defined targets.
- Conduct regular audits of Lean activities to ensure compliance, effectiveness and sustainability of implemented improvements.
- Define, coordinate, and allocate the resources required for Lean projects and improvement activities.
- Document Lean initiatives through relevant performance metrics, reports, and visual records to measure progress and success.
- Develop and maintain a Lean toolkit and ensure the availability of necessary resources and materials.
- Create and standardize work procedures for common Lean activities such as 5S, First Choice, Visual Management and Standard Work.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the execution of Lean and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Develop Lean communications materials and conduct factory tours and presentations for visitors, customers, and stakeholders.
- Support all departments in the implementation, execution, and sustainment of Lean processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
