Job Summary

Duties

• Provide one-on-one and group mentoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of students with SEND
• Support classroom teachers by implementing personalized learning strategies that accommodate diverse learning styles
• Assist students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and independence through engaging activities
• Monitor student progress regularly, maintaining detailed records of achievements and areas for improvement
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages positive behavior and mutual respect among learners
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and educational professionals to ensure consistent support for each student
• Lead activities that promote confidence-building, resilience, and life skills development

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people in educational or youth work settings
• Knowledge of special education needs (SEND) frameworks and strategies for supporting diverse learners
• Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students facing challenges
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and creating tailored support plans for individual learners
• Teaching experience or relevant qualifications are highly desirable but not essential; a genuine passion for helping young people thrive is key
• Ability to work flexibly within a dynamic school environment committed to inclusive education
