What they need

If you enjoy variety in your L&D work and like being involved in everything from programme coordination through to learning design and digital content, this could be a really good fit.

This is a hands-on role working across a range of learning and capability programmes for a sector specific workforce across Aotearoa New Zealand. You’ll help keep programmes moving, work with facilitators and subject matter experts, create and update learning resources, and make sure everything is ready for a great learner experience.

No two days will look exactly the same. You could be coordinating an upcoming programme, briefing a facilitator, working through content with a SME, designing a module or looking at learner feedback and making improvements.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work across a mix of:

  • coordinating learning programmes from planning through to delivery, follow-up and evaluation
  • keeping schedules, resources and programme information organised and on track
  • working with facilitators, speakers, suppliers and internal teams
  • creating learner communications, pre-learning and supporting resources
  • contributing to the design and improvement of learning programmes and activities
  • developing and updating digital learning
  • working with SMEs to turn complex information into clear, practical learning
  • testing and quality checking learning before it goes live
  • using learner feedback to improve programmes over time.

There’s a good balance here between coordination and learning design, so it would suit someone who enjoys both the organising side of L&D and actually getting in and creating learning.

What we’re looking for

You’ll already have some solid experience in learning and development, workplace learning or organisational capability and be comfortable picking things up and running with them.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • experience coordinating learning programmes, projects or events

  • a good understanding of adult learning and great learning design

  • bonus points if you bring experience in user experience (UX) design

  • understanding of digital learning tools (e.g. eLearning authoring tools, LMS).

  • hands-on experience with learning design and development

  • Strong analytical skills to assess needs, measure impact, and continuously optimise L&D initiatives.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on learner experience and engagement

  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders, learners, and delivery partners.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A commitment to building Te Ao Māori capability and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

A bit about you

You’re organised, proactive and someone who likes to see things through.

You’re comfortable working independently, but you also enjoy working with others and building good relationships. You’ll ask questions when you need to, flag things early if something isn’t quite right and take ownership of your work.

Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy learning and development and want to create learning that is useful, practical and works for the people using it.

What’s on Offer

  • A vibrant, collaborative environment where your ideas are valued, and your contributions make a real difference – got an idea? The sky’s the limit!
  • The chance to drive meaningful change and leave a lasting impact in a role that truly matters.
  • A competitive salary package that recognises your skills and dedication.
  • Opportunities for career growth, coaching and development in a forward-thinking organisation with a trail-blazing and supportive leader.

Ready to Make a Difference?

We’re looking for someone who’s genuinely passionate about developing talent and lifting capability — not just looking for their next job. If you're driven by making a difference, growing others, and contributing to meaningful learning experiences, you’ll thrive in this role.

Take the next step in your career and make a real difference. Apply today and be part of a team that’s shaping the future of capability development!

Other offers great for you!
