Learning and Development Manager

About the role

You will lead training and development across all properties, strengthening service standards, safety, and leadership capability while building clear career paths for our people.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the annual training plan based on business needs and Training Needs Analysis
• Deliver onboarding, service standards, and SOP training for all operational departments
• Coordinate mandatory training, including food handling, first aid, fire safety, and OSH
• Build supervisory and leadership development programmes to support succession planning
• Develop departmental trainers at each property through Train-the-Trainer programmes
• Manage the training budget, records, and HRD Corp claims
• Evaluate training effectiveness and report monthly to the Director of HR

Key Requirements

• Degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Education, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of L&D experience in hospitality, with at least 2 years at managerial level
• Train-the-Trainer (TTT) certification
• Analytical Skills
• Advanced presentation software and AI Skills
• Confident trainer with strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Willing to travel frequently to remote, highland, and island properties
• Passion for nature, sustainability, and developing local talent
