Learning & Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the Hotel's pre-opening training strategy, including the master training calendar, departmental readiness plans, and mock-operation schedules.
• Design and deliver the colleague orientation and onboarding programme, embedding the Hotel's vision, values, service culture, and brand standards.
• Partner with Heads of Department to conduct training needs analyses and build departmental training plans aligned with Standard Operating Procedures and operational priorities.
• Train, certify, and coach a network of Departmental Trainers to deliver consistent on-the-job training across all departments.
• Deliver core programmes in guest service excellence, communication, grooming and presentation, health and safety, and compliance.
• Design and lead supervisory and leadership development programmes to strengthen management capability and build an internal talent pipeline.
• Drive local talent development initiatives, including Maldivian colleague development pathways, apprenticeships, and internship programmes.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance, and certifications, and report on training hours, effectiveness, and return on investment.
• Monitor service quality results, guest feedback, and audit outcomes to identify skills gaps and design targeted refresher training.
• Manage the Learning and Development budget and coordinate with external training providers, academies, and certification bodies as required.
• Support performance management, career development, and succession planning in partnership with the Human Resources team.
• Ensure compliance with the Hotel's brand standards, Maldives Employment Act requirements, health and safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures.
