Actual Salary £21,042.63 - £22,429.06 per annum pro rata

We are looking to appoint a team of Learning Partners to join our collaborative and supportive staff community. These roles offer flexibility across year groups and, for successful candidates, placements will be discussed based on individual strengths, experience and preferences.

St Peter’s is a thriving, three-form entry primary school set within beautiful, well-resourced buildings surrounded by green open spaces. We are a warm, welcoming and inclusive community with a strong vision and values at our heart. Our commitment to excellence has been recognised through our recent inspections, with an ‘Excellent’ judgement in our last SIAMS inspection and ‘Outstanding’ in our most recent Ofsted inspection (February 2023).

As part of the Lighthouse Schools’ Partnership and one of 34 National English Hubs, we are proud to offer a clear and purposeful pedagogy, an engaging and ambitious curriculum, and high expectations for every member of our school community. We are deeply committed to ensuring the highest quality of teaching and learning, and we invest in high-quality professional development for all staff, supporting them to grow and flourish as outstanding practitioners. At St Peter’s, we care deeply about the success, wellbeing and development of both our pupils and our team.

We are looking for practitioners who will bring energy, passion and dedication to our school community. The ideal candidates will:

  • Be committed to our safeguarding culture and ensure that every child feels safe, valued and nurtured.
  • Provide hands-on support to pupils in class, small groups, and one-to-one, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Deliver structured, focused interventions to enhance learning and ensure all pupils access high-quality teaching.
  • Assist teachers with planning, preparation, assessment, and administrative tasks to support effective learning.
  • Actively manage pupils within the cohort and support the teaching team to always achieve a calm and respectful environment during the school day,
  • Help pupils develop independence, confidence, and resilience through guided support and scaffolding techniques.
  • Foster positive relationships with all children and support their social, emotional, and pastoral needs.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative classroom environment and support colleagues across the school where needed.
  • Supervise and engage pupils during lunch breaks, promoting physical activity, good behaviour, and wellbeing.

We Can Offer You:

  • A welcoming, talented, and supportive staff team.
  • Strong year group and phase teams helping each other succeed.
  • Happy, motivated, and respectful pupils.
  • An engaged and supportive parent community.
  • A well-planned, resourced curriculum with evidence-based teaching.
  • A school that values staff wellbeing and manageable workloads.
  • An inclusive, diverse, and caring church school community.
  • Ambitious CPD to support your professional growth.
