Salary: Grade 3 - £26,427 to £26,847 (Actual salary £18,357 - £18,649)

Hours Per Week: 30

Type: Permanent, term time only plus 2 INSET days

At Horizon Community College, we are committed to ensuring that every student feels included, receives the support they need and has the opportunity to succeed. We invest significantly in SEND provision and are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated Learning Support Team.

In this position, you will support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them to access learning, overcome barriers and develop confidence and independence. Your work will span a range of curriculum areas, with a particular focus on English, Maths, Science, Geography and History.

You will join an experienced and supportive SEND leadership team that values collaboration and is committed to developing staff expertise. Whether you are seeking a new challenge or looking to build on your experience of working with young people, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference to students’ education and future opportunities.

The successful applicant will have:

· A good standard of education in English and Maths, with 4 GCSE grades 9 to 4 (A* to C)

· The ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff to improve student outcomes

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, support and encourage learning.

We also work closely with Tykes Teaching Alliance and support all eligible staff to develop their skills through the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.
