What they need

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Learning Technology Deployment Specialist based in Canada. This is a hands-on learning technology role focused on deploying and administering digital learning solutions across a diverse technology ecosystem.

You will translate learning and business requirements into practical deployment plans and coordinate releases from intake through production and post-release support.

Working across LMS, media, content, virtual classroom, survey, evaluation, and collaboration platforms, you will ensure learning solutions are delivered accurately and consistently.

You will partner with instructional designers, subject matter experts, project leads, technology teams, and other stakeholders to manage dependencies, risks, approvals, and readiness.

The role combines platform administration, quality assurance, reporting, governance, troubleshooting, and stakeholder consultation.

You will also use approved AI and automation tools to improve operational efficiency while maintaining strong standards for accuracy, privacy, security, and quality.

This opportunity is ideal for an organized, technically capable learning professional who enjoys solving problems, managing multiple priorities, and working across evolving technologies

Accountabilities

  • Act as a trusted deployment advisor to project leads, instructional designers, subject matter experts, technology teams, and learning stakeholders.
  • Lead discovery, consultation, deployment planning, readiness reviews, and retrospectives to clarify requirements, timelines, dependencies, risks, approvals, and success measures.
  • Review release intake information, identify gaps or conflicting requirements, and work with stakeholders to resolve issues before deployment.
  • Translate learning and business requirements into clear, practical deployment plans while applying sound professional judgment to recommend solutions and trade-offs.
  • Manage the end-to-end learning release lifecycle, including intake, readiness, configuration, testing, approval, publication, validation, and closure.
  • Deploy and coordinate digital learning content across multiple technology environments, including LMS platforms, media solutions, SharePoint or other content portals, virtual classroom platforms, survey tools, and collaboration environments.
  • Configure learning objects, curricula, pathways, media, pages, links, permissions, metadata, audiences, dates, completion requirements, and related platform settings as needed.
  • Coordinate source files, translations, accessibility requirements, assessments, evaluations, and supporting resources in preparation for release.
  • Conduct pre-release and post-release quality assurance, troubleshoot deployment issues, and escalate technical or operational issues when appropriate.
  • Create and administer virtual classroom sessions, including facilitator and producer access, participant settings, invitations, engagement features, and supporting materials.
  • Partner with facilitators and producers to confirm virtual session readiness and support rehearsals when required.
  • Support polls, quizzes, knowledge checks, attendance tracking, and participant engagement activities, including extracting and reconciling attendance data when automated integrations are unavailable.
  • Create and validate survey and evaluation links based on audience, learning modality, and measurement requirements.
  • Run recurring and ad hoc reports across learning, media, survey, content, and collaboration platforms, reviewing information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Consolidate data from multiple sources using consistent, repeatable processes and prepare clear reporting outputs and summaries for stakeholders.
  • Apply requirements relating to naming conventions, metadata, version control, accessibility, privacy, security, records management, and release readiness.
  • Monitor shared intake channels and deployment mailboxes, triage requests, assign ownership, and support timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and auditable records of deployment decisions, approvals, testing, release completion, and operational outcomes.
  • Maintain deployment guides, job aids, FAQs, templates, knowledge repositories, and onboarding materials.
  • Contribute to testing, release readiness, issue investigation, operational acceptance, and continuous improvement of learning technologies and processes.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to workflows, controls, guidance, stakeholder education, and deployment practices.
  • Use Microsoft 365 Copilot and approved AI or automation tools to improve efficiency, support meeting preparation and documentation, identify missing information, assist with reporting, and streamline repetitive tasks while maintaining appropriate human oversight.
  • Validate all AI-assisted outputs before they are used and ensure confidentiality, accuracy, quality, and appropriate handling of information.
  • Lead working meetings and stakeholder consultations by establishing clear agendas, decisions, owners, actions, and follow-ups.
  • Contribute to capacity planning and prioritization discussions, raising constraints and risks early and recommending practical solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively across functions, technologies, platforms, and time zones while contributing to an inclusive, learning-focused team environment.

Requirements

  • Relevant post-secondary education in Learning and Development, Education, Learning Technology, Information Technology, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in learning technologies, digital learning operations, learning deployment, LMS administration, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience deploying and administering learning content across multiple types of technology, such as LMS platforms, media solutions, SharePoint or content portals, virtual classroom platforms, survey and evaluation tools, and collaboration environments.
  • Experience managing end-to-end learning releases, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, quality assurance, publication, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Experience consulting with stakeholders and translating learning or business requirements into practical deployment activities and technical actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead working meetings, consultations, readiness reviews, and deployment discussions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of digital learning modalities, content standards, metadata, accessibility, privacy, permissions, and reporting principles.
  • Practical experience using Microsoft 365 and Copilot, or comparable AI-assisted productivity tools, in a responsible and quality-controlled manner.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to investigate root causes and recommend practical solutions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, dependencies, and potential release risks before they affect learners or stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical and process requirements to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Strong planning, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple releases, dependencies, and urgent requests.
