Leasing Agent

We are seeking an energetic, organized, and results-driven Leasing Agent to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will have prior multifamily leasing experience, be proficient with Yardi, and have experience with lease-up communities and outreach marketing.

This position plays a key role in driving occupancy, creating an excellent prospect and resident experience, and supporting the overall success of the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to phone, email, website, and walk-in leasing inquiries.
• Conduct professional and engaging property and apartment tours.
• Follow up consistently with prospects to convert leads into leases.
• Manage prospect traffic, guest cards, applications, and leasing activity in Yardi.
• Process rental applications, required documentation, and lease paperwork accurately.
• Prepare and execute leases, renewals, and other resident documents.
• Assist with lease-up efforts, including meeting weekly and monthly leasing and occupancy goals.
• Develop and execute outreach marketing to local employers, businesses, organizations, and community partners.
• Conduct regular market surveys and stay informed about competing communities, rents, concessions, and amenities.
• Maintain accurate availability, pricing, prospect, and resident information in Yardi.
• Assist with online listings, social media, resident events, and other property marketing initiatives.
• Build positive relationships with current residents and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with resident retention and renewal efforts.
• Maintain the appearance and readiness of the leasing office, model apartments, amenities, and tour path.
• Inspect vacant and upcoming apartments to ensure they are ready for prospective residents.
• Work closely with the Property Manager and maintenance team to coordinate move-ins and apartment readiness.
• Assist with administrative and property management duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous multifamily apartment leasing experience preferred.
• Yardi experience strongly preferred.
• Previous lease-up experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with outreach marketing and developing local business relationships.
• Strong sales, closing, and follow-up skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional, outgoing, and customer-focused personality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with leasing goals, occupancy targets, and performance expectations.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, online leasing platforms, and property management technology.
• Ability to work occasional weekends as required.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who doesn't simply wait for prospects to walk through the door. The successful candidate will be proactive about generating traffic, following up with leads, conducting outreach marketing, and closing leases.

Experience working at a lease-up property and understanding the urgency, organization, and consistent follow-up required to build occupancy is highly desirable.

The right candidate will be comfortable using Yardi daily and will understand the importance of maintaining accurate prospect, leasing, and resident information.

Position: Full-Time Leasing Agent
Schedule: Full-time; weekend availability may be required
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
