What they need
At Grit Property Group, our mission is simple: we maximize the investments of our owners, provide safe and welcoming homes for our residents, and cultivate a workplace where everyone feels valued and proud to do meaningful work. We’re not your average property management company—and we don’t want to be.
We’re powered by a team that lives our values:
- Be a puppy: We’re relentless and resourceful. “That’s not my job” isn’t in our vocabulary.
- Move fast, stay ready: We respond with urgency, stay flexible, and never let the ball drop.
- Provide objective expertise: We know Kansas City, and we guide our residents based on what works.
- Have the conversation: We’re clear, respectful, and transparent in all communication.
- Put people first: We build real relationships with our owners, residents, teammates, and community.
If that sounds like a team you want to be part of, we’re hiring a Leasing Agent to help us grow.
About the Role (Please note that this is a independent contractor position)

- Ensure lease signings are scheduled and lease terms are clearly explained
- Monitor the collection of deposits, first month’s rent, and other move-in fees
- Coordinate move-in inspections and key handoffs to ensure a smooth experience
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all leasing activity and resident files
Skills & Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in leasing, property management, residential real estate, or multifamily housing
- Real estate license for Missouri required
- Experience in sales, customer service, or hospitality is also valuable, especially in fast-paced, people-facing roles
