Leasing Agent

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leasing activities, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of property leasing processes, and experience with various property management software. The Leasing Agent plays a vital role in maintaining positive relationships with prospective and current tenants while supporting the overall operational efficiency of the property portfolio.

Must be bilingual - Fluent Spanish

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective tenants and conduct property tours to showcase available units
• Manage leasing applications, including screening, data entry, and filing of tenant information
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations
• Negotiate lease terms, contracts, and renewal agreements with applicants
• Maintain detailed records using Rent Manager and other property management systems
• Handle inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professional office etiquette
• Assist with lease administration tasks such as rent collection, move-in/move-out procedures, and documentation
• Coordinate property maintenance requests and communicate effectively with maintenance teams
• Upsell available units or additional services to prospective tenants to maximize occupancy rates
• Stay informed about legal administrative requirements related to landlord-tenant law and LIHTC programs
• Manage conflict resolution between tenants or prospective tenants professionally and effectively
• Support marketing efforts by promoting properties through various channels

Experience

• Prior experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles preferred
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law required
• Proficiency with property management software such as Rent Manager or similar platforms is highly desirable
• Strong customer service background with excellent phone etiquette and conflict management skills
• Experience in sales or upselling techniques beneficial for tenant retention strategies
• Office experience involving data entry, filing, contracts management, and administrative support is advantageous
• Familiarity with facilities management or CMMS systems is a plus
• Proven ability to handle legal documentation accurately while maintaining confidentiality

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
