Leasing Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic property management team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, customer service, and administrative management will ensure a seamless experience for clients while maximizing occupancy and revenue. Responsibilities

• Greet prospective tenants warmly, providing comprehensive tours of available units and community amenities.
• Manage lease or rental agreement processes, including application screening, background checks, and lease signing procedures.
• Utilize property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite to maintain accurate tenant records, lease data, and occupancy reports.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements, and local landlord-tenant laws.
• Handle client communication professionally via phone, email, and in person to address inquiries, schedule appointments, and resolve issues promptly.
• Negotiate lease terms with applicants while upselling additional services or amenities to enhance resident satisfaction.
• Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents, contracts, maintenance requests, and other administrative records.
• Collaborate with team members on property maintenance coordination, budgeting support, and conflict management to foster a positive living environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity using Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software.
• Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC compliance, and facilities management practices.
• Excellent customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage lease agreements, contracts, data entry tasks, and filing with accuracy and efficiency.
• Experience working within a property management company environment or in real estate sales is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily administrative functions.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong team management skills coupled with the capacity for negotiation and client relationship building.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
