• Teaching and Curriculum Development:Develop and deliver courses in library science, covering topics like information organization, cataloging, digital libraries, research methodologies, etc
• Create engaging lesson plans, lectures, and learning materials, and assess student performance
• Research and Scholarly Activities:Conduct research in areas related to library science, publishing scholarly articles, papers, or books, contributing to the academic knowledge base
• Apply for grants and funding to support research initiatives within the field
• Mentoring and Advising:Mentor students, provide academic advising, and supervise thesis or dissertation work for graduate students pursuing library science degrees
• Guide students in their academic and professional development
• Professional Service and Engagement:Engage in professional activities, such as serving on academic committees, participating in conferences, and contributing to professional associations
• Collaborate with other faculty members, librarians, and stakeholders to enhance the library science curriculum and programs
• Library Management and Administration:Provide expertise in library management, administration, and technological advancements within library systems
• Offer guidance on library policy development, collection management, and information access

Qualifications:Education:

• Expertise: In-depth knowledge of library science principles, information organization, cataloging systems, information retrieval, digital libraries, and emerging technologies in library sciences

• Communication Skills: Effective communication and presentation skills for teaching, advising students, and collaborating with colleagues
• Research and Publications: Demonstrated research capabilities with a record of publications in peer-reviewed journals or academic conferences
