About the Role

Are you an experienced electrician or electrotechnology profession looking for a rewarding career change? South Regional TAFE is seeing an industry professional to join our Katanning/Narrogin campus to help train the next generation of electrical tradespeople.  If you have extensive industry knowledge, we can support you to develop the skill and qualifications required to become an effective lecturer.  In this role, you'll deliver practical and classroom -based training, assess student competency and mentor learners as they develop the technical skills needed by industry.  This is an opportunity to share your expertise and influence the future workforce.The lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements.  Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery.  In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.

Required Qualifications & Experience

To be eligible for employment applicants must hold a Cert III in Electrotechnology, Electrician (or higher) or equivalent and have a minimum of 5 years working in the area of expertise.

Driver's License is required.

To deliver accredited VET training, the minimum qualification required is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110), or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019 or TAESS00024).

If you don’t yet hold the required VET credential, you’re still welcome to apply. South Regional TAFE will support the successful candidate to enrol in an approved qualification, begin training promptly and make steady progress toward completion within two years of starting.
