We are seeking passionate and experienced Information Technology professionals to join our academic team as Adjunct Lecturers. This role offers the opportunity to share your expertise and contribute to developing future IT professionals through dynamic, engaging and industry-relevant teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare teaching materials and assessment materials
• Work with students to address issues relating to their course of study
• Mark and grade coursework, assignments and/or examinations
• Deliver lectures and tutorials as required
• Liaise and work with course coordinators on matters relating to course delivery

Successful candidates will hold:

• Relevant qualifications from a regionally or internationally accredited institution in a related field, with a minimum Bachelor’s degree and relevant professional experience. A Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred, and candidates with a PhD will be highly regarded.
• A minimum of five years of industry experience in a related field
• Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills
• The ability to teach in one or more of the following Information Technology discipline areas, with the stated requirements

Applied AI for Cybersecurity

• Topics include Introduction to Research in Computing, Research Question and Hypothesis Formulation, Evaluation of Cybersecurity AI Model Performance, Cybersecurity Dataset Analysis, Machine Learning Algorithm Categories for Cybersecurity, Tools and Technologies for AI in Cybersecurity, AI-Based Detection of Email Security Threats, Malware Threat Detection, and Network Anomaly Detection.

Cloud Computing

• Topics include Cloud Computing, Networking, Storage, Databases, Automation, Load Balancing, Scaling, Security and Monitoring.
• Relevant teaching or instructional experience in cloud computing and related technologies is preferred.

Kaplan Foundation Diploma: Certified Secure Computer User

• Candidates must hold the Certified Secure Computer User certification issued by EC-Council.
• Relevant teaching or instructional experience in computer and information security fundamentals is preferred.

Fundamentals of Computer Systems, Foundation of Programming, Introduction to Computer Science, Programming Applications and Programming Languages, Principles of Computer Science

• Teaching or instructional experience: Experience teaching C/C++, object-oriented programming and assembly language.
• Industry experience: Practical experience in C/C++ programming and assembly language is preferred.
• Other experience: Experience in programming fundamentals, algorithm design, data structures, object-oriented programming, recursion, file handling and software development principles. Proficiency in Dart, Flutter, NASM and DOSBox is preferred.

Introduction to Programming Using Java, Mobile Application Development, Mobile and Wearable Application Development

• Teaching or instructional experience: Experience teaching mobile application development using the Android platform, Android operating system and Java.
• Industry experience: Software development experience, particularly involving mobile devices, is preferred. Candidates should also have experience reviewing, debugging and improving code written by others.

Operating Systems and Systems Programming

• Teaching or instructional experience: Experience teaching operating systems, computer architecture, process and memory management, C programming, Unix/Linux system programming, concurrency, interprocess communication, TCP/UDP socket programming, and Linux/Unix system administration.

Introduction to Multimedia and the Internet, Advanced Web Programming, User Experience Design

• Teaching or instructional experience: Experience teaching web technologies and applications, including client-server architecture, JavaScript, Node.js, AngularJS, Bootstrap, RESTful services, XML technologies, Python and Perl programming, search engine optimisation, AJAX, JSON, web services, and cloud computing using AWS or Microsoft Azure.

Ethical Hacking, Cybersecurity Fundamentals, Cyber Forensics, Mobile Device Forensics, Incident Response and Investigation Practice, Network and Internet Forensics, Computer Security, Security Architectures and Systems Administration

• Teaching or instructional experience: Experience teaching Cybersecurity, Cyber Forensics, Mobile Forensics, Computer Science, Computer Security, or Network and Systems Administration at the tertiary level.
• Industry experience: Experience as a cybersecurity specialist in areas such as digital forensics, data recovery, information security, cyber incident investigation and penetration testing. Knowledge of Windows and Linux security administration and computer science fundamentals is preferred.
• Other experience: Practical knowledge of Cybersecurity, Computer Science, operating systems, virtual machines, and XRY or XAMN tools. Basic programming skills are required, with proficiency in C and Python preferred.

Business Analysis and Systems Development Approaches, Programming for Data Analysis, Digital Analytics and Artificial Intelligence

• Teaching or instructional experience: Experience teaching business analysis, systems analysis or systems design modules.
• Industry experience: Experience working as a business analyst, systems analyst, or in an equivalent professional role.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, AI in the Workplace, Deep Neural Networks and Ethics, Big Data and Data Science, Statistical Design and Data Analysis

• Teaching or instructional experience: Experience teaching Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, or related disciplines, together with substantial Python programming teaching experience.
• Industry experience: Relevant software development, software engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or machine learning experience.
