Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified, competent, and motivated IT Lecturer to join our academic faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in undergraduate Information Technology programs, developing students’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and contributing to academic excellence. The candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, effective teaching and communication skills, and a commitment to student learning and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lectures in Information Technology and related subjects at the undergraduate level.
• Prepare lesson plans, lecture materials, presentations, assignments, quizzes, and other instructional resources in accordance with the approved curriculum.
• Teach relevant subjects in areas such as programming, database management, computer networks, operating systems, software engineering, web development, and other IT-related disciplines, according to expertise and departmental requirements.
• Conduct practical sessions and laboratory activities to strengthen students’ technical and problem-solving skills.
• Develop, administer, and evaluate quizzes, assignments, midterm examinations, final examinations, and practical assessments.
• Assess students’ academic performance and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, course progress, and other academic documentation.
• Provide academic guidance and support to students regarding coursework, projects, and subject-related queries.
• Supervise student projects and practical assignments where required.
• Incorporate relevant technological developments, industry practices, and modern teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
• Maintain discipline, punctuality, and a professional learning environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings, faculty training sessions, curriculum development, and other academic activities.
• Coordinate with the relevant faculty members and academic administration to ensure the timely completion of academic responsibilities.
• Perform other academic duties assigned by the relevant academic authority.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Minimum MS/MPhil in Information Technology from an HEC-recognized university.
• Experience: Candidates with at least 1–2 years of relevant teaching experience at the university or college level are preferred.
• Fresh candidates with strong academic credentials, subject knowledge, and teaching potential may also be considered.
• Proficiency in relevant IT tools, technologies, and software applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation, classroom management, and student engagement skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and practical manner.
• Commitment to academic integrity, professional ethics, and continuous learning.
