Lecturer (Mechanical Engineering)

Role & responsibilities

1. Maintain and ensure the quality of training, theory, practical training, and other related activities in the allotted area.

2. Take and conduct regular theory classes for students in the assigned subjects as per the prescribed syllabus, timetable, and training requirements. Ensure effective delivery of lessons and clarify students doubts wherever necessary.

3. Conduct theory classes, tests, internal assessments, and examinations for the assigned subjects as per the prescribed schedule and requirements.

4. Prepare, update, and maintain the departmental organization chart as required.

5. Complete the Theory Coverage Report for the respective subjects and obtain the signature of the Theory In-charge before attending the monthly meeting.

6. Ensure proper maintenance, updating, and upkeep of all display boards in the Inspection Department.

7. Monitor and ensure the effective conduct of practical training, including measuring practice.

8. Coordinate with Section In-charges for practical examination evaluation and ensure proper recording and maintenance of all relevant documents.

9. Coordinate with Section In-charges for project evaluation and maintain the Stage Inspection Report and Final Inspection Report.

10. Calibrate trainees’ Vernier Callipers and Micrometres once every year and maintain the relevant records.

11. Prepare, update, and maintain the list of equipment available in the Inspection Department.

12. Maintain the Master List of Calibrated Instruments and History Cards for all instruments available in the Inspection Department/Stores.

13. Ensure compliance with the policies and requirements of the Trust relating to GTTI activities.

14. Organize and conduct coaching classes for weak trainees whenever required, based on their performance and training needs.

15. Prepare, update, maintain, and control all relevant ISO documents and records pertaining to the assigned activities.

16. Coordinate and provide support for sports, cultural, and other co-curricular activities of the trainees.

17. Provide full support and coordination for external training programs and projects.

18. Carry out any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.

Qualification : B.E Mechanical Engineering

Experience : 1 to 3 years in Teaching sector

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
