Legal Assistant- Settlement Department (Personal Injury)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injury Settlement team. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable working with numbers while managing a fast-paced caseload.

Compensation:

$20 - $25 hourly DOE

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize settlement packages and supporting documents
• Review medical bills, liens, and settlement statements for accuracy
• Calculate disbursements and verify settlement figures
• Communicate with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure deadlines are met
• Assist attorneys and paralegals throughout the settlement process

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of Personal Injury legal experience required
• Experience with settlement processing is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic math proficiency and ability to work with financial figures accurately
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases efficiently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal case management software is a plus
