Legal Engineer

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Legal Engineer who is passionate about the intersection of law, technology and artificial intelligence.

This is an opportunity to work directly with leading law firms and in-house legal teams, helping them rethink how legal work gets done.

You'll partner with legal professionals to understand their existing processes, identify opportunities for automation and demonstrate how generative AI can improve efficiency, reduce manual tasks and enhance decision-making.

The role combines legal expertise, technology, client engagement and strategic problem-solving.

You'll play an important part in helping legal teams move beyond simply exploring AI to successfully implementing it across their day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand legal workflows: Work closely with lawyers, legal operations professionals and senior stakeholders to identify challenges, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Identify AI opportunities: Translate complex legal processes into practical automation solutions using generative AI and trusted legal content.
• Deliver engaging demonstrations: Create and present tailored product demonstrations, interactive workshops and training sessions that address specific legal practice areas and business needs.
• Drive successful adoption: Collaborate with Customer Success teams to support clients through initial pilots, implementation, onboarding and wider organisational adoption.
• Provide strategic guidance: Help clients understand the commercial value, potential risks and operational benefits of introducing AI into their legal workflows.
• Influence product innovation: Act as the voice of the customer, sharing market insights and feedback to help shape product development, future enhancements and go-to-market strategies.
• Develop scalable best practices: Contribute to frameworks, resources and playbooks that support the continued growth of the business locally and internationally.

About You

We're interested in speaking with legally qualified professionals who understand the realities of legal practice and are excited about how technology can transform the industry.

To be successful, you'll bring:

• A recognised legal qualification, such as an LLB or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of legal practice experience gained within a leading law firm, corporate in-house legal team or public sector legal environment.
• A solid understanding of legal processes, workflows and the challenges faced by legal professionals.
• The confidence to engage with senior lawyers, legal operations leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, practical and compelling way.
• A genuine interest in legal technology, generative AI and the future of legal services.
• A consultative mindset, with the ability to identify problems, recommend solutions and build trusted client relationships.

You don't need to be a software developer.

What's important is your ability to understand legal work, recognise where AI can add value and communicate those opportunities effectively.
