Your Role

As a Legal Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the Legal Department through the review of key licence terms and collaboration agreements, reviewing and collating critical information for management, and building internal legal processes to support the organisation. This opportunity will provide you with an enriching experience in a startup environment, and specifically, the chance to explore the wider dimensions of intellectual property (IP) law to support an organisation’s strategic growth.

  • Review and analyse a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and licences, to identify key terms and provisions

  • Collect, organise, and maintain records and data related to intellectual property assets, licence agreements, and legal risks

  • Identify internal and external legal risks relating to the organisation’s intellectual property assets

  • Assist in Strategy Report Preparation, to summarise audit findings, preparing clear and concise reports outlining the organisation's intellectual property assets, risks, and potential synergies across the organisation

  • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of presentations to the management team, showcasing the results of the IP audit and legal strategy recommendations

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a law-related programme in an institute of higher learning
  • Possess a foundational understanding of intellectual property law concepts and principles
  • Demonstrated experience or knowledge in reviewing and interpreting legal contracts, agreements, and licenses
  • Display meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of your work, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation
  • Proficient in conducting legal research to support the identification and analysis of intellectual property assets and related legal matters
  • Able to effectively communicate legal findings and strategies to team members and management
  • Show initiative and a proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving in a dynamic environment

While we value all submissions, we regret that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by our People team.
