Legal Intern

We are looking for 2 bright and motivated law students to join our Legal team as interns at our Bangalore office.

Unlike internships that are largely observational, this will be a hands-on legal internship. Interns will work closely with our legal and business teams and get practical exposure to contract drafting, reviewing, legal research and commercial transactions.

We are particularly interested in students who want to build a career in Corporate Law, Commercial Contracts and/or Real Estate Law.

Candidates who perform exceptionally well during the internship may be considered for full-time employment with the company after completion of their law degree.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Drafting & Review

Assist the Legal team in drafting, reviewing and modifying various commercial agreements, including:

Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

Vendor Agreements

Service Agreements

Master Service Agreements (MSAs)

Statements of Work (SOWs)

Consultancy Agreements

Procurement Agreements

Lease Deeds

Leave & License Agreements

Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)

Letters of Intent (LOIs)

Employment and consultancy-related documents

Other commercial and business contracts

Contract Review & Analysis

Review agreements and identify important commercial and legal clauses.

Assist in identifying contractual risks and obligations.

Compare different versions of agreements and track changes during negotiations.

Review clauses relating to indemnity, limitation of liability, termination, confidentiality, intellectual property, warranties, dispute resolution and other key contractual provisions.

Prepare summaries of important contractual terms for internal stakeholders.

Legal Research

Conduct research on legal issues arising from commercial transactions.

Research relevant provisions of Indian contract, corporate and real estate laws.

Prepare concise legal research notes for the Legal team.

Assist in researching case law and regulatory developments wherever required.

Contract Management

Assist in maintaining the company's repository of executed agreements and legal documents.

Track important contractual dates, renewals, expiry dates and obligations.

Help create standard templates and clause libraries for frequently used agreements.

Support the Legal team in improving contract documentation and internal processes.

Business & Legal Coordination

Work with various internal teams including Procurement, Finance, HR, Projects, Operations and Business teams.

Understand the commercial context behind agreements rather than looking at contracts purely from a legal perspective.

Assist the Legal team during negotiations and closure of agreements.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for candidates who:

Are currently pursuing LL.B. / B.A. LL.B. / B.B.A. LL.B. or an equivalent law degree from a recognised law school.

Can work full-time from our Yeshwantpur, Bangalore office during the internship.

Can commit for a minimum period of 2-3 months.

Are interested in a longer internship where their college schedule permits.

Have a strong interest in contract drafting and corporate/commercial law.

Have good written English and legal drafting skills.

Have strong attention to detail.

Are comfortable conducting independent legal research.

Are curious about how businesses operate and how commercial transactions are structured.

Students in their penultimate or final year of law school will be preferred, although exceptional candidates from other years may also be considered.
