Legal Manager

We are looking for an experienced and business-oriented Legal Manager to join our team in Thailand. This role will provide legal and compliance support across commercial operations, corporate governance, contracts, regulatory matters, and strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, including dealer, vendor, service provider, marketing, fleet sales, financing, insurance, NDA, MOU, and other corporate agreements.
• Provide practical legal advice to business teams on commercial transactions, corporate operations, and day-to-day legal matters.
• Manage corporate governance matters, including board and shareholder resolutions, statutory records, regulatory filings, company registrations, and authorized signatory matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Thai laws and regulations, including commercial, corporate, labor, consumer protection, advertising, data privacy, competition, and product compliance requirements.
• Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks while providing practical solutions to support business objectives.
• Manage disputes, claims, litigation, and regulatory investigations, and coordinate with external legal counsel and relevant government authorities.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, policies, standard terms and conditions, and legal guidelines to improve operational efficiency.
• Provide legal and compliance training and promote legal awareness across the organization.
• Support new business initiatives, partnerships, and cross-functional projects from a legal and compliance perspective.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and provide timely updates and recommendations to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.); LL.M. is an advantage.
• 3+ years of relevant post-qualification legal experience, preferably in an international company, multinational corporation, or reputable law firm.
• Thai lawyer’s license and valid practicing certificate are preferred.
• Experience in the automotive, manufacturing, mobility, technology, or consumer industry is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Thai commercial, corporate, labor, consumer protection, competition, data privacy, and regulatory laws.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.
• Fluent English with the ability to draft legal documents and conduct business negotiations.
• Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a strong advantage.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
