Legal Manager

About the role

AICE Philippines is seeking a highly competent and business-oriented Legal Manager to lead the company's legal and compliance functions. This role is responsible for providing strategic legal advice, mitigating business risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and protecting the company's interests across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to Management and business units on corporate, commercial, labor, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, government regulations, and corporate policies.
• Manage legal disputes, litigation, labor cases, and external legal counsel.
• Oversee contract management and legal documentation processes.
• Advise on risk management strategies and corporate governance matters.
• Represent the company in dealings with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.
• Support business expansion, commercial transactions, and strategic projects from a legal perspective.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and recommend necessary actions.

About you

• Licensed Lawyer and member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
• At least 8-10 years of progressive legal experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong background in corporate law, commercial contracts, labor law, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food, or multinational industry is an advantage.
• Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strong ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
