Leisure Assistant

Hurlston Hall Leisure is looking for a friendly, motivated individual to join our team in a varied role combining reception and membership sales duties with fitness assistant responsibilities on the gym floor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the leisure and fitness industry, with the scope to work towards a recognised Personal Training qualification while gaining hands-on experience within the gym and also in membership sales.

Key Responsibilities

Reception & Sales

• Welcoming members and guests and providing a first-class front-of-house experience
• Handling enquiries, bookings, and membership sign-ups
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate member records
• Answering telephone and email enquiries promptly and professionally

Fitness Assistant

• Supervising the gym floor and ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
• Carrying out gym inductions and equipment demonstrations for members
• Supporting members with their fitness goals and providing basic guidance
• Assisting with fitness classes, equipment checks and plant room procedures
• Working towards a Personal Training qualification, with support and guidance provided

What We're Looking For

• A warm, confident, and professional manner with excellent customer service skills
• A genuine interest in health, fitness, and helping others
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to sales
• A demonstrator of good working ethic understanding there will be cleaning duties which are required to be completed
• Reliability and flexibility to work the shift pattern outlined below and looking to assist when required with holiday cover
• Previous experience in a leisure, retail, or customer-facing role is desirable but not essential
• Flexibility to cover shifts when required
