Lender

The role
Take ownership of the lending process, assessing applications, managing risk, and working closely with brokers and customers to find practical lending solutions.
 
This is a hands-on role where you'll be looking beyond the numbers, understanding the full picture behind each application, and using your lending knowledge and judgement to make informed decisions. You'll work closely within a small team and have genuine ownership across your portfolio, from application through to settlement.

Ideal Skills and Experience
We are ideally seeking a candidate with a background in lending, credit assessment or financial services who understands the fundamentals of lending and can confidently assess risk and make sound decisions. To be successful in this role, we are looking for:

• Ideally have previous experience in Lending, Credit or Financial Services
• Strong understanding of credit assessment, lending policies and risk
• Ability to assess lending applications
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple applications
• Fantastic communication and relationship building skills
• A confident and practical approach

Duties & Responsibilities
If you enjoy customer service, building strong relationships, and having genuine input into lending decisions, this could be a great next step. In this role, you'll be: 

• Assess and make lending decisions across a range of applications
• Review financial information, supporting documentation and credit risk
• Work closely with customers throughout the lending process
• Structure deals and find practical solutions for more complex lending scenarios
• Manage applications from initial assessment through to settlement
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to get deals across the line
