Lender Relations Associate

About the Role

We are looking for a Lender Relations Associate to manage and strengthen relationships with banks, NBFCs, financial institutions and other lending partners. The role will be responsible for lender communication, debt fundraising support, financial reporting, due diligence, documentation and ensuring smooth coordination between lenders and internal teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong relationship management, financial understanding and communication skills, with experience working with banks/NBFCs/lenders in lending, financing or fundraising environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lender Relationship Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for banks, NBFCs, financial institutions and other lending partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective lenders.
• Coordinate with lenders on queries, requirements, reporting and ongoing transactions.
• Understand lender expectations and ensure timely resolution of queries.

2. Debt Fundraising & Lender Acquisition

• Support the company in raising debt from banks, NBFCs and other financial institutions.
• Identify and evaluate potential new lending partners.
• Coordinate with lenders throughout the fundraising process, from initial discussions to sanction and disbursement.
• Support negotiations around pricing, tenure, security, covenants and other commercial terms.
• Explore opportunities to diversify and expand the company's lender base.

3. Lender Onboarding & Due Diligence

• Coordinate end-to-end lender onboarding and due diligence processes.
• Prepare and coordinate responses to lender questionnaires, RFIs and information requests.
• Work closely with Finance, Legal, Business and Operations teams to collate required information.
• Ensure timely submission of financial, operational and business documents.

4. Lender Reporting & MIS

• Prepare and share periodic reports/MIS with lenders.
• Coordinate financial and portfolio reporting as required by lending partners.
• Track loan-level and portfolio-level performance.
• Monitor repayment schedules, utilization, outstanding exposure and other lender-related metrics.
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of lender reports.
• Work closely with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Credit, Business and Operations teams.

5. Compliance & Documentation

• Coordinate with internal Finance and Legal teams for loan documentation and execution.
• Track compliance with lender covenants, reporting requirements and other conditions precedent/post-disbursement requirements.
• Maintain an updated database of lender information, agreements, facilities and key terms.
• Ensure timely completion of lender-related documentation and periodic requirements.
