The Role

As Lettings Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day performance and development of the lettings department, ensuring excellent service to landlords and tenants while maximising new business, instructions and revenue.

You will be responsible for leading the team, driving performance and maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the lettings team.
• Manage the day-to-day operation of the lettings department.
• Drive new business and generate new landlord instructions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and tenants.
• Oversee the lettings process from instruction through to move-in.
• Monitor departmental performance against agreed targets and KPIs.
• Identify opportunities to increase portfolio growth and revenue.
• Conduct valuations and pitch for new landlord business where required.
• Ensure properties are marketed effectively and generate maximum exposure.
• Work closely with the property management team to ensure a smooth customer journey.
• Ensure all lettings activity complies with current legislation and industry regulations.
• Deal confidently with escalated landlord and tenant queries.
• Coach and develop team members to improve performance.
• Monitor market conditions and provide landlords with informed, professional advice.
• Contribute to the wider growth and strategic direction of the business.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, driven and passionate about lettings.

You’ll ideally have:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience within residential lettings.
• Previous experience in a senior lettings or management position.
• Strong knowledge of the lettings process and relevant legislation.
• A proven track record of winning new landlord instructions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong leadership and people-management ability.
• A genuine focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• A target-driven and commercially focused approach.
• The confidence to build relationships and win new business.
