Job Overview

Goldilocks Nursery is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Educator to join our friendly team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a passion for early years education who enjoys supporting children in their learning and development. You will help provide a warm, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging learning activities in line with the EYFS framework and statutory guidance
• Support daily routines and ensure a safe, positive, and nurturing nursery environment
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and team members through clear and effective communication
• Observe, assess, and record children’s developmental progress
• Lead activities that support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safeguarding, health & safety
• Encourage and support parental involvement in their child’s learning and development
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas and contribute to continuous improvement across the nursery

Requirements & Experience

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or a related field (essential)
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements
• Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is preferred
• Ability to work confidently as part of a team while also using your own initiative
• Strong communication skills in spoken and written English
• A genuine passion for early years education and child development
• A positive, caring, and proactive approach to working with young children
