What they need

Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner

Little Learners | Where Little Minds Grow and Great Careers Begin

At Little Learners, we believe every child deserves the very best start in life. We are passionate about providing high-quality care and education in a nurturing, inspiring and stimulating environment where children feel safe, valued and empowered to reach their full potential.

We believe childhood should be filled with curiosity, creativity, adventure and meaningful experiences. From imaginative play and early learning to outdoor exploration and connecting with nature, we want every child to feel confident, develop independence and build the foundations for a happy and successful future.

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development, committed to delivering exceptional care and excited to be part of a team that truly values the difference early years professionals make.

At Little Learners, we know that outstanding childcare starts with people who feel supported, appreciated and inspired. We are committed to creating a positive working environment where staff wellbeing matters, achievements are celebrated and professional development is encouraged. We want our practitioners to feel proud of where they work and excited about where their career can take them.

About the Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play an important role in creating a warm, welcoming and enriching environment where children can learn, develop and thrive.

Working alongside a supportive team, you will help deliver high-quality early years provision, plan engaging learning experiences and build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families.

We are looking for someone who understands that the little things matter: getting down to a child's level, celebrating their achievements, listening to their ideas and helping them feel safe enough to explore the world around them.

Whether you hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, we want you to bring your passion, creativity and commitment to providing the very best experiences for our children.

Your Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional care and education: Provide responsive, nurturing care that supports every child's individual needs, interests and development.

Inspire learning through play: Plan and deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, communication and independence.

Support children's development: Observe, assess and celebrate children's progress, contributing to learning journeys and planning meaningful next steps in line with the EYFS.

Champion children's wellbeing: Create an emotionally supportive environment where children feel secure, listened to, respected and valued.

Make the most of outdoor learning: Support outdoor play, nature-based experiences and opportunities for children to explore, take appropriate risks and develop a love for the natural world.

Build positive relationships with families: Communicate warmly and professionally with parents and carers, working together to support each child's development.

Maintain high standards: Follow safeguarding, health and safety, hygiene and nursery procedures to ensure children receive safe, consistent and high-quality care.

Work collaboratively: Contribute to a positive team culture, share ideas, support colleagues and help create an environment where everyone can do their best work.

Continue learning and developing: Reflect on your practice, embrace new ideas and take advantage of opportunities to strengthen your knowledge and professional skills.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young children and understands the importance of providing high-quality early years care and education.

Ideally, you will have:

A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare that meets the requirements of the role.

Experience working with babies and/or young children in an early years setting.

A understanding of the WMS, safeguarding and child development.

A warm, patient and caring approach, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.

Creativity and enthusiasm for planning engaging activities that support learning through play.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A proactive, reliable and positive attitude.

A genuine commitment to children's safety, inclusion, emotional wellbeing and individual needs.

A willingness to learn, reflect and contribute to continuous improvement.

Most importantly, we want someone who sees early years education as more than a job. We want a practitioner who understands the lasting impact of positive early experiences and is passionate about helping every child feel confident, capable and cared for.

Why Join Little Learners?

At Little Learners, we believe our team is our greatest strength. We know that when practitioners feel valued, supported and motivated, they are better able to provide the exceptional experiences children deserve.

That's why we want to create a workplace where you can build meaningful relationships, develop your skills and feel proud of the work you do.

What you can look forward to:

A supportive and welcoming team: Work alongside colleagues who value kindness, teamwork, respect and a shared commitment to children's development.

High-quality training and development: Access learning opportunities that strengthen your practice, build your confidence and support your professional growth.

A genuine focus on wellbeing: Be part of a setting where staff wellbeing matters, your voice is valued and you are encouraged to feel supported and listened to.

Opportunities for career progression: Develop your skills and explore opportunities to take on new responsibilities as your experience and confidence grow.

The freedom to share ideas: Bring your creativity and enthusiasm to the role and help develop engaging experiences that make learning meaningful.

A rewarding and varied working day: Enjoy the opportunity to make a difference through play, exploration, outdoor adventures and everyday moments of discovery.

A culture of recognition and appreciation: We believe the dedication of early years practitioners deserves to be recognised and celebrated.

We want you to feel that you belong at Little Learners, that your contribution matters and that you have the opportunity to grow alongside the children you support.

Our Values at Little Learners

We believe in high-quality care, meaningful learning, strong relationships and the wellbeing of every child and team member.

We strive to create an environment where children are encouraged to be curious, families feel confident in the care we provide and practitioners feel proud to be part of something special.

Every child is unique, every achievement matters and every practitioner has the opportunity to make a lasting difference.

Ready to Make a Difference?

If you hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification and are looking for a nursery where your passion, skills and dedication will be valued, we would love to hear from you.

Come and be part of Little Learners, where we work together to create wonderful childhood experiences, nurture confident little minds and give every child the opportunity to flourish.
