Level 2 Support Engineer

The opportunity exists for an experienced Level 2 Engineer with a strong grounding in Microsoft cloud solutions to join our Palmerston North based team.

As Level 2 Engineer at HybrIT, you'll be the first escalation point for more complex IT issues, providing swift resolution or further escalation as required in order to deliver a premium support service to our clients.

We're seeking someone with a proven track record in IT support who can hit the ground running. This is not an entry-level role. As an MSP with a focus on Microsoft solutions, our ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years' hands-on experience in an MSP or IT support environment

• Experience with RMM and PSA tools (NinjaOne RMM, Halo PSA, etc)

• Experience with or knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Services

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical clients (this is a must)

• Excellent customer service ethic

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

• Experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python is beneficial

• Strong knowledge of Windows systems (some macOS experience would be beneficial)

• Experience with Microsoft 365 products, including user and mobile device administration

• Experience with networking technologies, such as Switches, Firewalls, and VPNs would be beneficial

• Experience with Claude or other AI tools would be beneficial

This role is full time (37.5hrs), based in our Palmerston North office and applicants must have existing legal rights to work in New Zealand.
