Level 3 Childcare Practitioner

Maternity cover role available

It will be around 20-25 hours per week working with a range of ages from 0-11yrs

Welsh speaker highly preferred.

Job title: Childcare practitioner

Responsible to: Room leader/Manager on duty.

Responsible for: Compliance with the Nursery and Kid’s Club’s Policies

and Procedures.

Children attending the Nursery and Kid’s Club.

Working areas as detailed on daily work rota.

Extra tasks assigned.

Purpose of job: To support the supervisor on duty in compliance with

CSSIW Regulations and Policies and Procedures.

To meet the needs of the whole child through safe and

stimulating play, activities and experiences appropriate

to the children in your care.

Duties: 1. Maintain a safe, healthy and stimulating environment.

2. Maintain an environment that meets the needs of

children.

3. Report all accidents/incidents to the supervisor

on duty.

4. Set out and clear away equipment and rooms in

a safe manner.

5. Work under the direction of the room leader.

6. Attend training that is relevant and appropriate.

7. Attend team and full team meetings on a regular

Basis and contribute to them.

8. Report concerns regarding safety of children,

equipment or premises immediately.

9. Attend and support fundraising events.

10. Undertake key worker responsibilities.

11. Contribute to planning of experiences and activities

appropriate to the children in your care.

12. Prepare, supervise, clear away and evaluate activities

appropriate to the age and stage of development of

the children.

13. Any other duties deemed appropriate.

It is expected that staff will be punctual and well presented and will project a professional image of the Nursery and Kid’s Club through their behaviour and manner.

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Experience:

• Nursery: 1 year (preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (required)
• Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Level 3 Childcare (required)

Work authorisation:

• United Kingdom (required)
