Could you be the next person to join our Nest?

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner who understands that working with young children involves so much more than simply playing all day!

You might begin your morning hunting for a missing dinosaur, spend lunchtime discussing whether worms have families and finish the afternoon admiring the fifteenth “most amazing stick ever found”—all while helping children feel safe, valued and excited to learn.

The right person will be caring, patient and reliable, with a good understanding of child development and the EYFS. You will enjoy learning through play, embrace outdoor adventures and recognise that every child deserves a place where they can belong, explore and grow.

Term-time-only position

Contracted hours to be agreed

Shared staff rota between 7.30am and 6.00pm

A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential

Experience of working with children under two is desirable

Please don’t worry—you will not be expected to work from 7.30am until 6.00pm every day! Our opening hours are shared between the team. However, you must be able to work a range of shifts, including occasional opening and closing shifts.

We are looking for someone who already holds the required qualification and can bring their knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to our team. Previous experience within an early-years setting is important, and experience of caring for and supporting children under two would be a real advantage.

If you can comfort a worried child, work supportively with colleagues, enthusiastically discuss minibeasts and still remember why you walked into the cupboard, we would love to hear from you!
