Job Overview

The Old School Nursery is looking for a Level 3 Early Years Apprentice to join our friendly and dedicated team.

We are a warm, nurturing and Hygge Accredited nursery where we believe children learn best when they feel safe, secure, valued and genuinely happy. We provide a calm, homely environment with a strong emphasis on relationships, outdoor learning, exploration and giving children the freedom to develop at their own pace.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about working with young children and wants to gain valuable hands-on experience while working towards their Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Years Apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced practitioners and develop the knowledge and skills needed to become a confident Early Years Educator.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children in their learning and development through play and everyday experiences.
• Building warm, positive and secure relationships with children.
• Planning and supporting engaging activities based on children's interests and developmental needs.
• Supporting children's personal care routines, including mealtimes, toileting and sleep routines.
• Helping to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment.
• Observing children and contributing to their learning journals and assessments.
• Supporting children's emotional wellbeing and helping them to develop confidence and independence.
• Working closely with colleagues and families to provide consistent care and support.
• Taking part in outdoor learning and experiences.
• Following nursery policies, safeguarding procedures and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

As your confidence and knowledge develop, you will gradually take on more responsibility and become an important part of your room team.

Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential. What matters most to us is your attitude, enthusiasm and genuine desire to work with young children.

Pay: Up to £26,700.00 per year
